DJARUM Indonesia Super Series 2009, China only won one out of five championship; in form Taufik fail to break the record

21 June, JAKARTA, in the DJARUM Indonesia Super Series 2009 final, China teams women's singles, women's doubles and men's doubles all lost to their respective opponents, only mixed doubles combination of Zheng Bo / Ma Jin took a title.

Zheng Bo / Ma Jin has just won the badminton mixed doubles champions in Aviva Singapore super series and was facing South Korea's Lee Yong-dae / Lee jung hyo in the battle for the mixed doubles title.

They won the first set 21 - 17 losing the second set 8 - 21 but after 58 minutes Zheng and Ma managed to take the third set16 - 21 and continue to be crowned champion this year following success to Switzerland, Singapore Open and also the Sudirman Cup held in Guang Zhou.

In the women's singles final, third seed player Wang Lin scored 21-12 to win the first set and was in a advantageous position but Indian player SAINA NEHWAL successfully reversed the one set deficit and took the game with the score of 21-18, 21- 9.

In Men's doubles, the fifth seed "Fengyun team," Cai Yun /Fu Hai Feng lost15-21 and 18-21 to South Korean pair JAE SUNG JUNG / YONG DAE LEE.

In Women's doubles, China's second seed Cheng Shu / ZHAO Yun Lei lost 16-2, 16-21to Malaysian World No.1 ranked pair Chin Hui Eei /Wong Pei Tty.

In Men's singles top player Li Chong Wei from Malaysia scored 21-9 and 21-14, easily beating Indonesia's Taufik and took the championship. Taufik fail to achieve his aspiration of winning a seventh Indonesian title. The Chinese men's singles players have not won this title for 20 years since winning it in 1989.
