Badminton: Malaysia's Top Doubles Pair Move Into World Championships Final

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's world No. 1 doubles pair, Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong, have moved into the badminton World Championships final in Paris at the Stadium Pierre de Coubertin.

The pair came out victorious in the semi-finals Saturday night, beating China's Guo Zhendong-Xu Chen 21-14, 21-18 to play in the final tomorrow.

Kien Keat-Boon Heong who won easily in the first set had to fight hard in the second set where at one point they were trailing Guo and Xu 12-16.

However, the Malaysian pair raised their game and beat the world's No. 4 doubles pair.
