China only gets 1 gold from India Open
According to Badminton World Federation, India Open ended on 29th March. China only gets one winner medal, by Ma Jin/ Wang Xiao Li on women doubles. Indonesia Taufik becomes the winner in men singles.
China team Ma Jin / Wang Xiao Li played Malisa / Melati in the finals. China team beat the Indonesian team by scoring 21-14, 21-13. The whole match lasted 27 minutes.
2004 Athens Olympic Men singles winner Taufik Hidayat is still maintaining his playing level. He defeated Malaysia player Hafiz with a score of 21:18, 21:19. The whole match lasted 30 minutes. The last time Taufik won a title was in October 2008.
French player Hongyan Pi, lose the first set17-21 but bounce back on the second and third set with a 21-15, 21-14 win over Malaysia player Wong Pei Xian.
Men doubles top seed, Malaysia Choong Tan Fook and Lee Wan Wah, defeated Singapore's Hendri and Hendra with a score of 21-9, 21-11 in only 17 minutes.
Mixed Doubles 3rd seed, Indonesia Limpele and Marissa become a winner by scoring 21-14, 21-17.
India Open started from 24th March and ended on 29th March, total prize money is 120,000 US dollars.
