Complete Badminton Training by Former World Champion and Legend Zhao Jianhua and Xiao Jie - Fingers control, aggressiveness

by Andrew
(Malaysia)

First of all, you won't get hurt if only you have proper techniques. You can have a better chance of making a higher fulfillment based on solid foundations.

At the point of contact, use your thumb and your index finger to grip your racket to guide your shot and generate more pace in your shot. The power generation should start from forearm, transmitted thought the wrist and then to the fingers.

You can have better control on where you can place the shuttle on court. This can also provide a sudden explosive change in your shuttle direction. Remember, controlling with wrist only is not enough. Make sure you can incorporate finger controls as well into your game.
