A big swinging action of the forearm is a common mistake, which can result to slower speed at the shuttle, slow recovery for another stroke or even injury.

1. extend your arm towards the shuttle.

2. pronate to hit the shuttle.

3. At the point of contact, tighten your grip with your fingers.

- Pushing is an attacking shot and it emphasizes speed and deception.

- Netting, lifting, cross court pushing and straight pushing should encompass a similar preparatory action.

It is only a small change of the racket head direction, just before the point of contact.

- To have a better control of the racket head one has to strengthen wrist strength.
