Complete Badminton Training by Former World Champion and Legend Zhao Jianhua and Xiao Jie - Net kill ( Tap and pouncing to the front)

by Andrew

Motion should be compact and power comes from the wrist and fingers. This kind of shot does not require much force, but it still can be very lethal depending on how well you execute it.

If the shuttle is further from the net, the stroke can be heavier. Where as , if the shuttle is closer to net the should be lighter. Just touch it because it's too close and the opponent can't reach in time.

As for pouncing to the front, the center of gravity is not important. This shot is threatening, and you must seize the moment. The main point : Stroke motion must be compact.
