Complete Badminton Training by Former World Champion and Legend Zhao Jianhua and Xiao Jie - Net push

by Andrew Chang

Push is to hit the shuttle above the net or at net level. You can hit the shuttle very hard, fast and strong towards the two corners of the rear court or towards the other player behind the server or aiming at the player's body.

Explosive power in a short distance delivers the shuttle instantly to the rear court. This is an offensive receiving tactic. For the net push, the movement comes with a forward sending off motion.

After hitting shuttle, you should not bring the arm down with large amount of force , the shuttle would go into net.

You push towards his body, it's very secure and would not go out of bounds. The net push requires a wrist action. The swing shall not be to big . Your racket should be ready for the next shot.
