Josh Green wins English U-19 badminton title

Isle of Man badminton player Josh Green won the 2010 Yonex English National Under-19 Badminton Championships in Milton Keynes on Sunday.

Green defeated the number one seed Toby Penty in a thrilling semi-final before beating the joint-third seed Ben Tier in the final.

His thrilling semi-final was the longest match of the competition, finishing 22-24, 21-19, 25-23.

The Manx player then beat Tier 21-14, 19-21, 21-9 to win the men's title.

He was awarded his trophy from Derek Batchelor, the vice-chair of Badminton England.
