Match of the Century : World Championship 97' Sun Jun Vs Peter Rasmussen (5)

by Andrew

Sun Jun has been regarded by many badminton fans around the world as one the best players in badminton history. At 9-2 lead Sun Jun has a cramp on his left calf due to the lactic acid that forms in his muscle and the amount of fluids and salt coming out from his body.

Even though with the cramp Sun Jun keeps on fighting and playing the psychological game by delaying the match but that's not enough time to recover and you can see he is struggling after every rally is played which got the China coaching staff and the team's doctor worried. Truly amazing player with his never say die attitude in this painful situation.
