two handed play
by: Steve

As I see it the player has developed a skill and uses it effectively, good luck to them.

I learned to shoot a rifle and pistol from either hand to take advantage of natural cover and keep me safe from the enemy, does that mean I'm being unfair to terrorists? I don't think so!

Response to BL SEN's question
by: Anonymous

I don't think there is anything in the rules that stipulate that one must use the same hand for playing badminton.

If anything, swapping hands during mid-rally may be a disadvantage because of the poor reaction times.

Question
by: BL SEN

Question: Is a player who can play equally well with both hands allowed to change hands during a rally (either singles or doubles). We have a player in our club who changes hands especially for deep backhand returns which we feel is unfair. There is no mention of this in the Badminton rules. Could you kindly clarify?
Thanking you
