Fed up of losing to the same old players and just not getting any better? Let some of the best players in the world teach you how to play better badminton

Tien Minh ranked the world's seventh badminton player

VietNamNet Bridge - Thanks to the points he earned at the recent Thomas Cup, Vietnam's top badminton player, Nguyen Tien Minh, is ranked seventh in the world in the latest rankings released by the World Badminton Confederation on March 4.

This is the second time he has gained seventh position, including the first time in September 2009. At the Thomas Cup, Tien Minh had a winning and a losing match, but he earned 5457 points for his presence at the event and 127 points for his winning match. With an additional 5584 points at the Thomas Cup, he has a total of 56,304 points, enough for Tien Minh to rank the seventh worldwide.

After the Thomas Cup's Asian qualifying round, Tien Minh and his Indonesian coach Asep Suharno will go to the UK and Switzerland to attend the Super Series from March 9-21. The Super Series has a bonus of $200,000. If he enters the semi-final round, Tien Minh's rival will be the world's number-one player, Lee Chong Wei (Malaysia), or the second ranked Lin Dan (China).

At the Super Series tournament in Switzerland from March 16-21, the Vietnamese player will be 7th seed, so he will only face moderate rivals in the qualifying round before facing Lee Chong Wei or Jorgensen (the world's 8th player) in the semi and final rounds.
